Preschool in Søndre Nordstrand!!

The preschool is a 3-day intensive course in entrepreneurship. You learn to develop your ideas into a business idea and get help to realize them.

In February, we are arranging a digital preschool for everyone who lives in the Søndre Nordstrand district and in Oslo Municipality. We meet online for live lectures and workshops.

When: February 5-7, 2021.

Where: Online – you get a link and can connect.

Price: Free, but we expect you to be with us all weekend

For whom: You have an international background and a dream of creating something.

Age: from 18 years and up!

Mentors and Speakers

Nicolai Strøm-Olsen

Nicolai Strøm-Olsen is the author and co-founder of Startup Migrants, the leading Nordic art magazine KUNSTforum and the conference Kunstweekend.no.

He has written the biography Hans Gude - an artist's life (2015) and three other books on urban development and entrepreneurship; Bykamp (2014), Startup Europe - The founders who change Europe (2016) and Startup Israel (2017).

Maria Amelie

Maria Amelie wrote her first book at the age of 25, was named Norwegian of the Year and contributed to a change in the law for refugees. She has since written four more books on entrepreneurship and technology.

Maria wants to focus more on diversity as a competitive advantage, especially when it comes to new jobs and groundbreaking innovation.

Muzammil Saeed

Muzammil Saeed is a project manager for Solibo AS. He is now taking a master's degree in economics and administration with a specialization in Business Analytics. He has both participated and won several case competitions/hackathons, including for Sparebank1 and Helly Hansen.

Muzammil has previously participated in the preschool and is part of the organizing team.

Stina Ihle Amankwah

Stina Ihle Amankwah is a project consultant at Minotenk think tank in Bergen. She has a master's degree in model-based community planning from the University of Bergen. She also has dialogue training from the Nansen Center and is a trained mentor against radicalization at RVTS Vest.

Stina is also Head of Corporate Partnerships in the newly started company VIBRANTCREATOR.

Questions

I do not know anything about business or finance. May I join?

Yes! You do not need any prior knowledge, just interest and desire to start something.

Do I have to have an idea to join?

No. You can join the idea of someone else and work together through the weekend. But if you suddenly get an idea, then feel free to share it. Maybe someone else will join your team and develop it further!

What if someone else takes my idea?

It is not allowed to take each other's ideas, and we clearly state that. At the gathering, it should be open and safe. Besides, most ideas need to be further developed before they can become really good.

Is the Preschool only for immigrants?

No, everyone is welcome. We are concerned with diversity in experience, background, age and beyond.

Questions

I can not be part of the whole collection.

We expect participants to be with all three days so that you get the most out of the weekend. If you can not then you should give your place to someone else.

What should I bring with me?

Bring a PC and a notebook. Together with your team, you create pitch decks in the Canva program.

I have signed up, but have not heard anything.

We usually send out emails several times before preschool. Check the spam inbox - they have ended up there. If not, let us know at muzammil@startupmigrants.com

Is everything in Norwegian?

Yes, so far all lectures are in Norwegian. You are welcome to join, even if you do not speak Norwegian fluently.
